Purpose of Collecting Personal Data

The use of our website is intended for purely information purposes, i.e. if you do not register to use our website or submit information to us, no personal data will be collected, with the exception of data transmitted by your browser to enable you to visit the website. These are:  

  • IP address
  • Date and time of your access
  • Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
  • Content of the access request (specific page called up)
  • Access status/HTTP status code
  • Relevantly transmitted data volume
  • Website from where the access request originated
  • Browser information
  • Operating system and its user interface
  • Device model
  • Screen resolution
  • Language and version of the browser software

This information, including complete and possibly specifically identifiable IP addresses, which we store on our web servers for reasons of technical security and specifically for the defence against malicious attacks, is deleted after 30 days at the latest.

In order to be able to offer you our website and related services, we process personal data based on the following legal principles:

Data Security

We maintain state of the art technical means to ensure data security in general and to protect your personal data from risks during data transmission or from unauthorised access by third parties. These technical means are constantly updated to their latest versions and monitored by our IT team. 

Use of Zortify Analysis Access

You will have to register with your personal details and a password of your choice if you would like to use our Analysis-Version.  

When using our Analysis, we not only store the information listed under “Collection of personal data for information purposes”, but your personal data is required to fulfil the contractual stipulations. The information required may vary depending on the product you have selected. For many of our products, that data may include, for example, your gender and year of birth. Some products require the specification of an e-mail address. We use the provided e-mail address to inform you about events relevant to your use of the product, such as the availability of an analysis you have requested. The actual analysis results will generally not be dispatched via e-mail (unless specifically requested)  

Furthermore, we voluntarily store the data you provide for the duration of the use of the Analysis-Version, unless you decide to delete this data before the end of use. You can manage and edit all information you have provided in the secured user area, with the exception of your username.  

In some cases, we will be using external providers for the processing of your information. These providers are handpicked by us and their services have been commissioned in writing. They are tied to the instructions we provide and are regularly monitored by us. These providers will not forward the information provided to them to third parties.  

Your version session is encrypted with SSL technology to prevent unauthorised access to your personal data by third parties.

Comfort Functions

We use technologies such as JavaScript and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) to ensure a visually optimised presentation of our online presence (e.g. automatic adaptation to different screen sizes, fade-in/out menu functions, input control for the contact form). You can deactivate these technologies with the relevant browser settings. In this case, however, large parts of our online presence will no longer be accessible to you.

Use of Analysis Services

Our website uses Google Analytics, a so-called web analysis service. Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files saved on your hard drive and which allow us to analyse your utilisation of our website. The usage information generated by the cookie (including your truncated IP address) is transmitted to our server and stored there for usage analysis purposes, which in turn enables us to optimise our website for our users. Your IP address is immediately anonymised during that process, i.e. you as a user remain anonymous. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is not forwarded on to any third parties. You are entitled to revoke any consent to the use of your personal data at any time.  Furthermore, you have the right to correct or delete your personal data or to restrict its processing, insofar as you are legally entitled to do so. Finally, you have the right to object to the processing within the scope of the statutory provisions. A right to data transferability also exists within the framework of data protection regulations. 

Deletion of Data

As a matter of principle, we delete personal data when there is no need for further storage. A requirement may exist in particular if the data is still needed to fulfil contractual services, to check and grant or ward off warranty and, if applicable, guarantee claims.
